Who qualifies for the exemption?

To qualify for the exemption, an applicant must:

• Be domiciled in Louisiana;

• Have a valid Louisiana commercial fishing license;

• Own a vessel used primarily for commercial fishing;

• Catch fish or other aquatic life for human consumption; and

• Derive, or intend to derive, at least 50% of annual income from commercial fishing.
