Pay Louisiana Taxes by Credit or Debit Card
Need to make a tax payment using a credit or debit card?
The Louisiana Department of Revenue offers a secure online payment option that allows individuals and businesses to pay eligible Louisiana taxes without logging into a LaTAP account.
A third-party payment processor securely handles all credit and debit card transactions. Convenience fees are charged by the payment processor—not by the Louisiana Department of Revenue.

Processing Times
Most credit card payments are transmitted electronically and are generally applied within several business days.
Processing times may be longer on weekends, holidays, or when additional verification is required.
Keep your payment confirmation until the transaction appears on your tax account.
License and Permit Holds
If your professional, occupational, or recreational license or permit has been suspended because of an unpaid tax liability, payment alone does not immediately remove the hold.
After your payment is successfully processed and all tax obligations are satisfied, LDR will notify the appropriate licensing agency. This process generally occurs within approximately 72 hours.
